Counseling

Psychotherapy is a tool to help gain clarity and insight, whether visiting our formative years or creating goals for the future. The past and the future are very alive in the present moment. In counseling a relationship is established where the client is able to share their life stories in a safe and supportive environment.

Within the context of a therapeutic space the client has the opportunity to explore psychological defenses, as well as ways the client relates intrapersonally (self) as well as interpersonally (others). The therapist can help the client establish healthier ways of relating and communicating. The relationship created between the client and therapist becomes a healthy foundation to explore and build closer relationships outside the context of the therapeutic setting.

Suzanne has a strong foundation in mindfulness, somatic therapy, and has trained in the model of Internal Family Systems. She works with individual clients, couples, families, and co-facilitates groups weekly.

Walk & Talk Therapy

Combining the benefits of nature into sessions of therapy.

Movement can make it easier for some people to discuss their feelings. Offering therapy sessions outside is an alternative to sitting in the office. Walk and Talk therapy may enhance traditional talk therapy by including exercise, which stimulates the chemistry of the brain through the stimulation of endorphins. Endorphins can help reduce emotional stress, as well as offer a sense of well being. There are many benefits to "walk and talk therapy"

If this is of interest please talk with Suzanne to create a plan that works best for your needs.

Zoom Sessions

During these stay at home times and for clients out of town, Zoom sessions offer a great opportunity to be safe and comfortable while getting the support you are seeking.

There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
